One of my favorite times of day, as seen from my bedroom window. The sun sets (right now, at least) between two trees in an appealing way. The quality of the light at sunset is one of my personal Mysteries, especially at this time of year.
Full Moon matrix, July 2012.
I swapped the sphere out for my largest pillar the other day, and the sun came in through the curtain when the NW wind blew it open, giving it a direct, if intermittent, beam of light.
I love it when things work that way.
I enjoy building mandalas out of different stones and patterns in my personal spaces, but sometimes I just want to play with my collection a little. I love making crystal lamps this way - bright beacons of warmth and light. Different coloured glass makes them really pretty as well, but there’s something to be said for clarity.
